Lions Working Together

Whilst each Lions club gives priority to the needs of its local Community, the Lions organisation is uniquely placed to provide urgent assistance nationally or internationally at times of need, such as earthquakes or flooding.

Lions clubs can also work together to raise money for local or national charities.

Lions District 105SW , the South West District, of which the Lions Club of Sidmouth is a part.  District 105SW covers Devon, Cornwall and part of Somerset - within the District, there are more than 60 individual Lions clubs, such as that at Sidmouth.

Handover party June 2011Lions Multiple District 105, the headquarters organisation for all Lions clubs in the UK and Ireland. District 105SW (above) comes within this. There are some 900 individual Lions clubs in the UK and Ireland, comprising about 20,000 Lions in total.

Lions Clubs International , the worldwide community service organisation founded in 1917. This website offers an insight into the work of Lions clubs throughout the world. The Lions clubs in the UK and Ireland are part of this international organisation.

Lions Club International Foundation, a trust fund established by regular contributions from Lions clubs throughout the World.  The Foundation is administered by Lions International, and provides a useful channel through which assistance can be sent, wherever it is needed in the World, at times of disaster.
